Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s rollercoaster relationship has taken another sharp turn as the former reality TV couple has officially dismissed their divorce case, again.
The latest twist comes just days after Kim accused the ex-NFL player of physical violence, mental instability, and dangerous behavior in court. Now, fans are left wondering what really changed in just a matter of days to make the once explosive split vanish into thin air.
Kroy originally filed for divorce back in August 2023, marking the second time the couple attempted to legally split. The first was in May 2023 when Kim filed, only to later walk it back by July, telling the judge they were still “engaging in marital activities.” This time, though, things got even messier.
Just days before they filed to dismiss their case, Kim made serious claims in court, alleging Kroy was experiencing “angry and emotional outbursts,” was physically violent, and had displayed “extreme sexual promiscuity.” She also demanded an emergency hearing for a psychological and medical evaluation, suggesting Kroy might be suffering from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a condition linked to repeated head trauma, which often affects former football players. According to Kim, his behavior raised serious red flags for the safety of their children.
Her filings painted a concerning picture. She stated that Kroy was prone to profanity-laced tirades aimed at both her and their kids, and she expressed serious worry that his undiagnosed mental health issues were putting the family at risk. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star also cited his inability to refrain from insulting her in front of the children as a major issue. Kim insisted that if these issues went untreated, the children’s well-being could be in danger.
But just as quickly as the accusations landed, the divorce case was dropped. No one knows for sure what led to the sudden change of heart, but many are speculating that their living situation may have played a role.
In February 2025, just before the dismissal, the couple was still living together in their marital home, even though it had already been sold at a foreclosure auction back in December 2024. That strange arrangement came to a dramatic end in April when U.S. Marshals physically removed them from the property.
Court documents show the couple failed to respond to several legal notices, and on April 8, 2025, four deputy marshals arrived at the house around 3:30 p.m. and had cleared the property by 6:45 p.m.
Financial stress has long haunted Kim and Kroy. Their Georgia mansion was listed on Fulton County’s foreclosure auction list as early as December 3, 2024, and they’ve been through multiple near-evictions in the past. Even their daughter, Ariana Biermann, 23, exposed more of the family’s financial drama on the new Bravo series Next Gen NYC, accusing her parents of using the money she earned as a minor without her permission. Ariana and her sister Brielle were adopted by Kroy after his marriage to Kim, and together the couple has four more children: Kaia, KJ, Kash, and Kane.
Despite the intense legal battles, disturbing accusations, and a foreclosure that led to them being kicked out by law enforcement, Kim and Kroy have once again chosen to stay married. Their decision is leaving many fans baffled, especially considering how dark and public their issues became in recent months.
Whether this move is an attempt to keep the family together, a financial necessity, or just another chapter in their famously chaotic love story, one thing is certain: when it comes to Kim and Kroy, expect the unexpected.
