Kristin Cavallari just had what she calls the most surreal moment of her life, meeting her ultimate celebrity crush, Brandon Sklenar.
On her podcast Let’s Be Honest, the 38-year-old TV star opened up about her recent chaotic run-in with the 1923 actor at Stagecoach, the California-based country music festival. And yep, she fully freaked out.
“I wish this moment was not so blurry for me,” she said on the episode. “But all of a sudden, I am able to pick out Brandon Sklenar. He’s with a couple of guys. I’m pretty sure he had his hood over his head, like I f****** clocked him, and I go, ‘Oh my God, are you Brandon?’ I think I said his last name wrong.”
But she didn’t stop there. “I was like, ‘Are you Brandon Sklenar?’ Total fangirl moment. I like f****** attacking him,” Kristin admitted, laughing at how intense the whole thing was.
She went on to say she was seriously overwhelmed in the moment. “I’m, like, freaking out,” she said. “And I said something to the effect of, like, ‘You’re my number one, you’re my biggest celebrity crush.’” In response, the 34-year-old actor calmly shook her hand, looked her in the eye, and simply said, “Thank you.” And for Kristin? That was enough to make her entire year.
“My life was made,” she added. “I literally-I could die today and be a happy woman.”
Kristin didn’t stop at the meet-and-greet, though. She’s now officially got Sklenar on her vision board, but with a twist. Since he’s younger, doesn’t have kids, and is, well, famous, she’s decided to manifest someone who’s like him but fits into her actual dating life.
“I will not be removing him from my vision board,” she said. “What I’ve decided is I want the real-world version of Brandon Sklenar, like the non-famous version. I’m manifesting the normal guy version of Brandon Sklenar.”
Currently single, Kristin is clear about what she’s looking for now, and it’s not 20-something party guys. She’s done with dating younger men and wants someone who already has kids, just like her.
“That’s the other thing, he’s younger than me. He doesn’t have any kids,” she explained. “So even if he wasn’t in a relationship, I am no longer going to date guys that are younger than me and that don’t have any kids. Like that doesn’t go anywhere.”
Kristin was married to former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler from 2013 to 2022. They share three kids together: Camden, 12, and Saylor, 9. Her third child, Jaxon, wasn’t mentioned in the quote but is also part of the family.
So now, she’s moved on from looking for another celeb-level love and is focusing on someone more grounded. But her love for Sklenar remains untouched. He’s still number one on her vision board, even if it’s just the “normal-guy version” she’s aiming for.
