Kylie Kelce is keeping it real, and funny, about husband Jason Kelce’s cringey dating past.
After Jason admitted he had “zero game” in high school and college, Kylie jumped into the conversation on Instagram with a classic wife-style roast: “Can confirm… still not an ounce of game! I find it very charming!”
The couple, who met on a dating app in 2015 (yes, Tinder actually worked out for once), tied the knot in 2018 and now have four adorable kids, Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and their newest addition, baby Finn. But according to Jason himself, his life before Kylie was far from smooth when it came to romance. On a recent episode of the New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with younger brother and fellow NFL star Travis Kelce, Jason opened up about why he wasn’t exactly a ladies’ man back in the day.
“I had absolutely zero game,” Jason confessed, joking, “I looked like an overweight Oompa Loompa.” The brothers’ mom, Donna Kelce, who joined them on the episode, backed him up, saying she didn’t meet any of Jason’s college girlfriends, because, well, there weren’t any. “You dated, but I didn’t know any of them,” she said. “With Trav, I met one or two. You were too busy.”
It’s not the first time Jason’s lack of dating experience has come up. Fans of New Heights, which recently won a Webby Award and racks up millions of views per episode, love the Kelces for their transparency and humor. And while Travis is now famously dating pop icon Taylor Swift, Jason and Kylie have become internet darlings for their authentic, often hilarious, parenting moments and relationship realness.
Jason also spoke earlier this year on The Steam Room podcast about how Travis’s relationship with Taylor Swift seemed “different” from the start. “Just the way he talked about her… you could tell how much he really, really liked her, right from the get-go,” Jason said, clearly showing brotherly approval.
Meanwhile, Kylie continues to be the MVP of the Kelce household. She’s become a fan favorite in her own right, known for calling out trolls online, supporting Philly charities, and keeping Jason humble in public. Whether it’s showing up in matching Eagles gear with their daughters or joking about her husband’s failed attempts at flirting, Kylie proves time and again that she’s not just Jason’s better half, she’s also his biggest fan.
Sure, Jason may not have brought many women home to Mom back in the day, but clearly, he was just waiting for the right one. And as Kylie lovingly trolls him from the sidelines, fans are here for it.
