Larsa Pippen Says Kids Pushed for Breakup with Marcus

Larsa Pippen is finally done with Marcus Jordan, and this time, for real.

The Real Housewives of Miami star opened up during the Season 7 premiere about why her most recent breakup with Marcus was different from the rest. In a brutally honest moment, Larsa revealed that it was actually her kids who gave her the push she needed to leave the rollercoaster relationship behind. Talking to her mom, who was visiting, Larsa said, “I’m kind of used to being alone now. Especially if you’re with the wrong person, it’s definitely better to be by yourself.” But it was what her kids told her that really sealed the deal. “When I was with Marcus, my kids were like, ‘Stop getting back together and breaking up, and just get off the ride.’ That’s when I was like, “I need to get away from the situation.”

Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan started dating back in January 2023 and had a pattern of messy breakups and reconciliations. After their first public split in February 2024, they got back together only to break up again in March. One last try followed, but by July 2024, the relationship was officially over, and this time, Larsa says she’s not looking back.

During the emotional RHOM scene, Larsa opened up about what changed for her. “We went from really being in love and getting along to me seeing a side of him that didn’t really align with who I am as a person,” she admitted. One of her biggest issues with Marcus? His party habits. “When we would go out, he would like to be the very last person in the club. Like, I mean, there’s no one there but the janitors.” That lifestyle just didn’t vibe with where she is in her life now, especially with four kids and a full plate of responsibilities.

The breakup didn’t just affect her, it took a toll on her entire family. Larsa, who shares sons Scotty Jr. (24), Preston (23), and Justin (20), along with daughter Sophia (16), with her ex-husband Scottie Pippen, said the public nature of the split added even more pressure. “Everyone started calling me, talking about the situation,” she said, tearing up. “It was so stressful for my whole family. I’m done. I just want to go to bed. I don’t want to have to address it. It’s so embarrassing.”

In her confessional, Larsa got even more real. “I fought everyone to be with this guy,” she said, “and then it turned out to be a bad situation for me and my family, so I had to remove myself from it.” She said Marcus didn’t take the breakup well and started sending her “really bad messages” and even talked badly about her to her friends. “It was just bad,” she said.

And it’s not just Marcus she wants out of her life. Larsa also admitted she doesn’t want any lingering connections with him, which is causing tension with her RHOM co-star Lisa Hochstein. Apparently, Lisa’s boyfriend, Jody Glidden, is still in contact with Marcus, and Larsa is not cool with that. “That’s really what annoys me a lot, the Lisa thing,” she said. “If I tell my friends I’m going through a lot with this person and I just want to move forward and remove a toxic person from my life, and you can’t understand that as my friend? That’s why I’m mad at her.”

Lisa, for her part, explained that the couple’s constant breaking up and making up made the situation confusing. “The thing with them is, they go from breaking up to making up to breaking up,” she said. “I just felt like I don’t need to make him an enemy.” But for Larsa, it’s not about enemies, it’s about boundaries. And after all the emotional whiplash, she’s standing firm on her decision to walk away for good.

As Larsa tries to reclaim her peace and focus on her kids, it’s clear that she’s prioritizing what really matters. Her days of late-night drama and toxic cycles are over, at least when it comes to Marcus Jordan. And while breakups are never easy, especially in the public eye, Larsa’s being real about what it took to finally let go. If nothing else, she’s showing that sometimes, the best relationship advice comes straight from your own kids.
