Lil Wayne is in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons after being accused of physical abuse by his ex-girlfriend Denise Bidot.
The rapper, 42, is facing serious heat after Denise, 38, went public with emotional and physical abuse claims through a series of Instagram Stories that sent fans into shock. According to Denise, Lil Wayne not only laid hands on her but also kicked her and her daughter out of his house on Mother’s Day – and dumped her via text.
The model didn’t hold back, calling out the music star, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, for his “diabolical” actions. In the videos, Denise is visibly emotional, explaining that she’s just five weeks into recovery from a “mommy makeover” surgery and physically unable to move boxes – yet Lil Wayne allegedly had his assistants help pack her stuff and send her packing. Her daughter, who also appeared in one of the videos, silently nodded when Denise talked about being thrown out on Mother’s Day.
It wasn’t just the breakup that cut deep. Denise says Lil Wayne not only emotionally mistreated her but also physically assaulted her. “And it’s not just the emotional abuse – this man has actually laid a f****** hand on me,” she said in one of her clips, visibly shaken. She admitted that she made excuses for his behavior at the time, thinking it was a mistake, but now feels differently. She also claimed she knows about other women who’ve experienced similar abuse from him.
She recalled how he “flew her out” from New York City and uprooted her life, only to allegedly treat her this way. “That’s crazy, you guys. Like, these men really be taking advantage,” she said, venting the betrayal she’s feeling now. Denise also revealed she’s looking for a lawyer and asked followers to send legal recommendations, expressing fear for her safety and uncertainty about what comes next.
The timeline of their relationship goes back to 2019, shortly after Wayne ended things with his former fiancée, model La’Tecia Thomas. Denise and Wayne’s romance became public during the pandemic in 2020, and they remained an on-again, off-again couple for years before reportedly splitting for good in early 2022.
In a January 2022 interview with Hola!, Denise had reflected positively on the relationship, saying she felt like a more complete woman because of everything she learned during that time. But now, that narrative seems to have flipped completely. “Breaking up with someone on Mother’s Day is diabolical. Prayers up, though. God always pulls me through,” she posted earlier, adding, “Walking with faith.”
There has been no public response from Lil Wayne yet regarding these serious accusations. But with Denise’s raw videos now circulating and fans demanding answers, the silence is only raising more eyebrows.
