Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is feeling more in love than ever, and she’s not shy about it.
On The Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast, the 43-year-old opened up about her relationship with Prince Harry, saying she’s now in the “honeymoon” phase”, seven years after their wedding. Meghan described their journey as one that started in the trenches, with intense public scrutiny just six months into dating. But now, with a bit of breathing room, she feels like they’re finally able to fully enjoy each other.
She even gushed over Harry’s looks, calling him “a fox” and saying if people hadn’t noticed how handsome he is, they should. But it’s not just his appearance that melts her heart , Meghan says Harry’s heart is “even more beautiful” and praised how devoted he is to her and their family. With two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, she says Harry is always showing up, protecting, and supporting them in every way.
In one of the most memorable moments from the podcast, Meghan compared her husband to the hero from Super Mario Bros., saying he’s the one who slays the dragon to save the princess , and that princess is her. It’s a playful and sweet metaphor for the way she sees Harry as someone who constantly fights for their family’s happiness and safety.
Meghan also shared a little relationship trivia , how she and Harry used to go by the letters “M” and “H” when they were secretly dating. She said using initials became a cute form of code back then when they had to keep things under wraps, and it’s something that just stuck. Even now, their friends still refer to them that way. Meghan said she loves nicknames and the simplicity of just being “M” and “H” to each other.
The couple, who married in May 2018, have come a long way from hiding their romance to now publicly celebrating it. Meghan’s honest and affectionate take on their love story just reinforces how strong their bond is , and clearly, she still thinks she hit the jackpot.
