Rebel Wilson has been sharing some hilarious and relatable parenting moments, especially when it comes to her two-year-old daughter, Royce.
During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, Rebel joked that naming her toddler after a “luxury” car brand might not have been the best idea, as it’s made her a little more high maintenance than expected.
The actress, who raises Royce with her wife, Ramona Singer, explained how her daughter has managed to get her wrapped around her finger. “She’s conned me into massaging her feet before she goes to sleep. I was doing it last night for almost an hour,” Rebel said with a laugh. “I said, ‘I should have called you Volvo.’”
While it was all in good humor, it’s clear that Rebel’s love for Royce shines through. But naming her after the prestigious Rolls-Royce brand has certainly made her more “extra” than Rebel anticipated. The actress joked that a more practical name might have been better.
In the interview, Rebel also gave some insight into her whirlwind wedding experiences. She and Ramona tied the knot in Sardinia last September, followed by a second ceremony in Australia during the Christmas period. Rebel’s sister, who happens to be a wedding celebrant, had a pretty hectic week officiating both weddings, and Rebel shared the funny side of that story. “My sister had a busy week, she married me and then she married my mum the next day. We didn’t pay her, she’s really upset about that.”
Rebel also reminisced about the memorable moment at the 2020 Academy Awards when she and James Corden dressed as cats to present an award for their musical Cats, which didn’t quite have the success they hoped for. Amid the chaos, Rebel helped Brad Pitt process his Oscar win, recalling how she invited him to her dressing room. “He just needed a moment… He just came with me to my dressing room for me to get transformed into a cat.”
It’s clear that Rebel is living her best life with her family while also finding humor in the ups and downs of motherhood and celebrity life.
