All eyes were on Walton Goggins at the Met Gala 2025, following his gut-wrenching performance in The White Lotus Season 3. The 53-year-old actor is basking in his much-deserved moment of glory, starring in everything from “The Righteous Gemstones,” to “Fallout.”
Walton Goggins made quite the entrance during tonight’s 2025 Met Gala, twirling on the carpet in his finest inside-out overcoat and skirt by Thom Browne. He seemed to be all smiles while posing for photos, amid reports that he and his White Lotus co-star Aimee Lou Wood have allegedly squashed their reported “feud” with one another, behind the scenes.
Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood play boyfriend and girlfriend on the third season of Mikey White’s HBO series. Their May-December romance on the prestige drama is charged with tension, toxicity, and an ultimately tragic fate. It seems like some of the tumultuous drama their characters experienced on The White Lotus rubbed off-screen as well, since eagle-eyed fans noticed Wood and Goggins had both seemingly unfollowed each other on Instagram.
This comes after Goggins waxed poetic about his on-screen girlfriend, claiming he knew from their very first interaction that they had a special connection.
He said of the Sex Education star while speaking to Associated Press, “The first time I met Aimee, I knew she was gonna be a very, very, very, very important person in my life.” He continued, adding, “You know, I’ve had chemistry with a lot of people over the course of my career, but I knew instantaneously that this was a person that we could go anywhere together.”
The actor proceeded to praise his connection with Wood, adding, “And right out of the gate we just became very very very close… and ‘trust’ was a very integral part of that process. We both wanted to honor the story of Rick and Chelsea, and found their love to be intoxicating.” He added, “The first time I met her, I felt like I’d known her a thousand years, and she felt the same about me. We had an incredible dance, the two of us.”
Such high praise left fans all the more confused as to why the pair stopped following each other on Instagram. Furthermore, Goggins notably refused to answer questions about his alleged “feud” with Aimee Lou Wood, saying in a recent interview, “I’m not gonna have that conversation.”
