Qatari producer A.M.R and Montreal-born singer-songwriter Brandon Mignacca have joined forces once again on their latest poignant production, “Only You,” out today on Monstercat.
Combining Brandon’s polished pop songwriting with A.M.R’s deep house stylings, the emotive love song is a stunning vocal standout in the Silk portfolio, as well as a tribute to each artist’s significant other.
A.M.R shares, “Part of what makes this track so great is that it was written with the same intentions by both artists. Brandon wrote these moving lyrics with his significant other in mind, which encouraged me to write an acoustic version of this track that was used for the first dance at my wedding. I then merged both versions to get the track that you hear now.”
Brandon Mignacca adds, “‘Only You’ is dedicated to our significant others that have helped us through everything. Thank you for being our better half forever and always.”
“Only You” arrives after A.M.R and Brandon’s highly-praised 2020 single, “Fell Out of Love,” which has quickly accrued nearly one million streams across platforms and continues to see consistent rotation on SiriusXM Chill.
Brandon first emerged on the La Voix (the Canadian edition of The Voice) whereafter his single “Best I’ll Never Have” reached #3 on Quebec’s pop charts and received a SOCAN Songwriting Prize in 2019. Since then, he’s become a household vocalist in the electronic space, working with the likes of Shingo Nakamura, Banaati, Vintage & Morelli, and more.
On the other side of the world, A.M.R grew up in a musically inclined family, producing and composing in his bedroom studio. His textural sound is inspired by worldly elements that lend themselves to beautiful chord progressions and transportive melodies, attracting support from greats like Armin van Buuren and Tiësto. This past year has seen the Doha-based artist provide a guest mix for Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy radio show, as well as an official remix for the Grammy-nominated duo.
