Following the release of his ethereal EP ‘West’ last year, Aftruu returned to Monstercat today with his melancholic new single, “Addiction.”
The emotional chord progressions, dark atmospheric pads, and pitched vocals drop listeners into a far-away soundscape. Drawing inspiration from the trials and tribulations associated with addiction, Aftruu translates these feelings into sounds intended to help listeners escape from the darkest corners of their minds.
Aftruu shares, “We’re all addicted. And we’re all seeking an escape from reality.”
