Residing in the Sonoran desert, Tech-house producer Ekonovah enters in full dark Techno mode with his latest remix of ALRT’s “1985”.

Given the opportunity from ALRT himself, Ekonovah decided to stray away from his conventional groovy house style, coming out with the heaviest track known-to-date from his discography.

“This remix, without a doubt, is the hardest track in my discography. I honestly surprised myself at first – I’m usually more on the tech house side of things but this dark techno-inspired track came together so fast and I was loving it. So stoked about this one and I think it’s going to be perfect for some of my upcoming sets.” – Ekonovah

For the remix, Ekonovah expanded into a new horizon and released himself into the unknown. Initially, he was hesitant on coming out with something different, however, he intended on trying out a new challenge for himself and was pleased with the results. Ideas flowed naturally in the studio, and within a few sessions later, he pieced together a new outlook of the record itself and his brand.

“I think people know me for my groovy house tracks so I was slightly apprehensive to dive into this dark techno vibe but the more I worked on this remix the more I realized this is the way it’s supposed to be! As a huge fan of the new ALRT album I was stoked when he asked me if I would like to remix one of the tracks! 1985 really spoke to me not only because of the depth of the lyrics but also from the musicality in this record. The remix came together in just a few short sessions and I’m so pleased with the way it broadens my discography!” -Ekonovah

As Ekonovah continuously evolves, the creative keeps a consistent goal in mind– to influence the electronic scene with a new sound. Deriving from a background in music at his early stages of childhood, Ekonovah has utilized his competitive advantage in his brand by engineering original vocals and pioneering melodic earworms against strong, dancey drums. Once embarked in his touring endeavors, Ekonovah discovered his signature sound, as fellow supporters came up to him and made comments on his distinctive “woosh”/ “weird flute” sound.

Ekonovah is well-known to be spiritually inclined within himself and his identity as an artist, and is evidently shown through his sets and connection with his fanbase. Ekonovah has proven to have successful highlights in his musical career, from hitting tour stops in cities such as Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and festivals like EDC LV, Decadence AZ, and Bonnaroo, to sharing stages with Chris Lake, Elderbrook, Tchami, Gorgon City, Oliver Heldens, Noizu, Dombresky, Habstrakt, Drezo, Moksi and more. The Ekonovah project has more yet to come, with years worth of plans ahead and unwavering support from his team.
