With his EP launch party lined-up shortly, Anjelo Disons releases the soulful new track – Sweet Love feat. Kaidi Akinnibi.
The track, at the outset seems really soothing and emotive in nature and cam definitely make one get immersed into it as we listen to it.
The rich production is a great example of what makes this young talent one of music’s most exciting ones. Anjelo draws influence from the music of Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Maverick Sabre, MNEK, and James Arthur, and it is exemplified by the rich usage of melodies and subtle guitar riffs.
The vocals on this one is absolutely incredible. The soulful lyrics, makes the emotions clear to the listener and is supported by some crisp percussive elements. The feel is more vintage in nature and can clearly create an intimate feeling. The voice accompanied by the powerful writing abilities makes the track a clear hit.
Featuring Kaidi Akinnibi, ‘Sweet Love’ marks an exciting new chapter in the career of Anjelo, who has previously caught the eye – and ear – with smooth jazz-influenced productions ‘Love Don’t Come Easy’ (supported by Craig Charles on BBC Radio 2), and ‘Stay The Night’ (feat Kali Claire), with the latter receiving a wealth of support across BBC Radio 1xtra.
Extraordinarily gifted, with words that are wise beyond his years, the release of ‘Sweet Love’ precedes the eagerly anticipated arrival of the vocalist’s 5-track ‘For The Love’ EP, which is scheduled to arrive on 3rd September.
Supporting award-winning soulstress, Bridget Kelly & stateside spoken word artist, Alysia Harris in concert, Anjelo Dison’s unique style, made up of jazzy hints and soulful scatting, continues to cement his status as an innovative and dynamic performer.
The EP launch is set to happen on the 6th of September, after his performances at the Ritzy Brixton and Frsh Sessions at Global 12 Festival.
As someone who has honed his music skills from the time spent on the streets of South London, it has been quite a journey and the music world is lucky to have seen him rise.
