Aston Merrygold triumphantly returns with his eagerly awaited new single I Aint Missing You. Produced by platinum selling Producer/Songwriters LDN Noise, I Aint Missing You is an electrifying example of what to expect from Astons forthcoming debut solo album, and is a seamless progression from his debut single release Get Stupid.
The track flawlessly transitions from a tears-on-the-dancefloor classic to a hotshot independence war cry, peaking with a surging, high-octane chorus of euphoric emotional release. Astons ethereal, crystal clear vocal delivery commandeers throughout the moving on anthem, which is set to dominate playlists, clubs and dancefloors alike.
While still grounded firmly in contemporary pop, the single also displays Astons diverse musical influences, alongside his love for dance and electro music.
Aston explains,
”I’m excited for this new chapter. I’ve been locked in the studio for a while now! It’s been interesting creating different music, tracks that sit in different lanes to one another.”
As part of the pop phenomenon JLS, Aston enjoyed success with five chart-topping singles, a further five Top 10 hits and four smash hit albums.
But that was then, and I Aint Missing You represents Aston’s doubtless remarkable new future. Now everything rests on my shoulders, he adds, Its my success or its my failure. Im so ready for this, and for people to see what Im about and what I can do.
Debut solo smash Get Stupid was Astons first foray into solo stardom, with the track receiving huge international success, gaining platinum status in Australia as well as topping the radio airplays charts throughout Europe. Aston also travelled the globe on a colossal promo trail to celebrate the release of the single, which included a show-stopping performance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Astons main creative collaborators on the forthcoming album were one-man hit machine Edwin Lil Eddie Serrano (Usher, Jessie J) and Talay Riley (Ellie Goulding, Iggy Azalea). In addition, songwriting duo Karen Poole and Sonny J. Mason also made several vital contributions to the collection, as did his former JLS associate Steve Daly.
The roots of the album mostly lay in his childhood influences Michael Jackson, James Brown, Usher and Justin Timberlake but also in his lifelong dream to make my own type of music and make my own decisions.
Alongside various live international shows, this summer has also seen Aston performing at Wireless and out in Ibiza with Kygo, touring with Jason Derulo and featuring on the Throttle track Moneymaker alongside Lunchmoney Lewis.
