Sound design and production wizard Au5 releases his sixth official album and Ophelia debut ‘Bridges Between’ on October 13th.
Au5 flexes his production chops across ten tracks that blend genre distinctions of electro, trance, progressive house, trap, future bass, midtempo, heavy dubstep and even speed house.
The album features a stacked lineup of collaborators including familiar melodic favorites like Crystal Skies, Linney and Tyler Graves and new faces Lexx, Dankya Nadeau, Cyazon, Lomaximus, DNAKM, EMME, Derpcat and HA!L. A stunning visual creator, Au5 also created all of the album artwork pieces.
“Bridges Between” is a collection of songs that depict a journey of different emotions. The songs bridge between the stages of connection, denial, despair, grief, hope, and eventually acceptance. The title also refers to the bridges between the external world and our internal world, the process of reconnecting with ourselves after the loss of someone or something important to us. The cover art depicts a bridge or path over water (which represents traversing emotions) connecting the outer environment with a planet or world within (which represents our inner sanctity and peace). – Austin Collins (Au5)
Au5 will embark on a fall tour in partnership with Ophelia Records, bringing along album collaborators and fellow label mates to venues including Soundcheck DC, The Meadows NY and Celine Orlando. He’ll be playing marquee festivals including Vision and Color, festivals in China and Vancouver and recently performed at the largest bass music festival in the US, Excision’s Lost Lands.
