Producer and content creator Bishu returns to Monstercat Instinct today with new electro pop record, “SO ABSURD.”

The single serves listeners the first listen of his upcoming debut album, ‘microcelebrity,’ arriving in 2024.

Introducing a newfound soundscape of Bishu’s stylings, “SO ABSURD” evokes a rush of oxytocin, accompanied by an uplifting tempo, melodic guitar chords, and warm synth stabs staying true to Bishu’s familiar elements. The track’s vocals, distinctively his own, brings listeners along a journey of passion and affection that is bound to resonate deeply.

For almost a decade, Bishu has been making waves in the electro pop scene with his groovy beats and dreamy vocals. Coming to light in the electronic music scene in 2017 with collaborations alongside Tomsize, Luca Lush, and Quix, Bishu has since amassed a loyal cult following. He has graced the DJ booths at notable festivals such as Wobbleland, Lights All Night, Mad Decent Block Party, Chasing Summer. Bishu debuted his first Monstercat single, “Bomb (feat. LeyeT),” earning a spot on Monstercat Uncaged Vol.3.

Outside of his work in the studio and on stages, Bishu has become a top content creator on Twitch, amassing 61k followers and topping 4.5k concurrent viewers, where he streams live music, previews fan music submissions, and plays games such as Fantasy FPS “Dark and Darker” and online FPS “Valorant,” garnering a loyal community of fans. Recently, he competed in and won a cash prize of $10,000 in T-Pain’s Beat Battle, a live competition stream series that pits the best music producers on Twitch in a head-to-head battle to create an original beat in 15 minutes, with the winner being decided by the audience.

Bishu shares “‘SO ABSURD’ is the first single from my album ‘microcelebrity.’ It’s a different style from my other music, but also familiar in some ways. It’s about as ‘Bishu’ as it gets — taking influences from everything I’m inspired by. I’m really excited.”

Drawing inspiration from artists such as Brakence, 100 Gecs, Skrillex, Flume, and Porter Robinson, Bishu’s approach to music is colorful, full of energy, and refined. His creativity and innovation in “SO ABSURD” sparks a new musical journey that is combined with familiar elements of his indie electronic leaning sound. Fans can anticipate more original music from his upcoming album, ‘microcelebrity.’
