Having been a fan of dance music and Armin van Buuren since 2003, I was inspired to start my own electronic music publication with a very simple, and clear goal - to share electronic music with old, and new fans alike. Working alongside a great team has made me keep that goal alive, and build on it.

Blvk Sheep Unveils, ‘IMMORTAL!’ EP

Blvk Sheep returns to Bassrush Records with his dynamic four-track ‘IMMORTAL!’ EP, which distinguishes itself from the explosive producer’s past releases.

Over the past year, Blvk Sheep has been on a mission to diversify his project. He’s been responsible for unhinged bass music that incorporates elements of rap, trap and pop-punk, the building blocks of a sound he deems to be “genreless.” His blood, sweat, and hard work is finally paying off as he steps in with his new four-tracker slated for release on the Bassrush catalog.

Teaming up with Mexican-American artist VRG on the lead single, “SCUD!” (which stands for Stop Calling Us Dubstep), both producers show no mercy with a sinister intro that blossoms into a hybrid trap-dubstep drop, leaving listeners craving for more.

“INTERRUPT!” was his first introduction to the label, initially finding a home on the imprint’s recent compilation album ‘The Prophecy: Vol 6,’ released at the top of July. “ARRIVAL!” with FOCUSS and JOZIE quickly followed as the lead single, preceding the full package by a few weeks.

The final cut, “AFTERLIFE!,” alongside vocalist Apollo Vega, closes things out in proper fashion, and flows seamlessly with the rest by fusing pop-punk styles with rattling drops. Thus, completing the new chapter in Blvk Sheep’s already impressive saga.

Sharing how the EP came to fruition, Blvk Sheep explains: “This EP started back at the end of 2021, when I was writing a lot of ideas and I wanted to aim for a very diverse project that embodies all of the types of music that I like. I wanted something that was heavy and melodic but genreless as a collective package. So, you’ll hear some dubstep, trap, D&B, future bass, pop-punk. Those are all genres I’ve worked with in the past and I’m happy that they truly represent the idea of where I want this project to go in the future!”

Continuing to pave a lane for himself, Blvk Sheep has already been popping up on lineups for some of the most respected festivals in the game. His productions have been getting just as much attention, as well, securing ample support from legendary artists in the scene such as Excision, Illenium, ATLiens, Flosstradamus, 4B and more.

Blvk Sheep’s new EP “IMMORTAL!” is available on all platforms via Bassrush Records.
