Melodic house tastemaker Bound to Divide and beloved “progresso” producer Julian Gray have teamed up with singer-songwriter Avrii Castle for their heartfelt record, “Losing My Mind” on Monstercat.
Returning to the label together, Bound to Divide and Julian Gray blend their emotive house stylings with an infectious bassline, euphoric melodies, and dreamy percussion. Leading with Avrii Castle’s delicate vocals, the record is destined to land in countless DJ sets this fall.
Bound to Divide shares, “When I initially wrote the first version of the instrumental, it gave me a sort of bittersweet, happy but sad feeling. I really wanted to amplify this, and Julian Gray along with Avrii Castle really brought the song to life. Being someone who struggles with mental health issues, for me, “Losing My Mind” is a testament to those struggles, but it also reminds me that amongst the suffering there’s beauty to be found.”
Julian Gray adds, “This record is a celebration of all of our sounds, coming together to form something special to us all.”
