Maxwell Brighouse, known through his alias BRIGSY, has just dropped the smashing dancefloor single ‘Chester Avenue’, following a festival season playing some of his home countries biggest venues in New Zealand.

DJing alongside the likes of Enei, Jakes, Pola & Bryson and more at stages at events such as Rolling Meadows and Rhythm & Vines, he’s been making a name for himself, and now globally too. This is something which continues with his recently dropped single ‘Chester Avenue’.

T.H.E Music Essentials caught up with BRIGSY to find out the tracks he’s been spinning in his Spotify playlists recently. You can find a list below, and buy a copy of his new release out everywhere now via this link.

Mozey & Rusko – Hands In The Air

The super punchy drums grabbed my attention straight off the bat. Accompanied with that unique bass line and signature jump up stabs, these two killed it.

Lee Mvtthews, Freeks & Geeks – Infinity

My tune of 2022. The massive Reese and jungle inspired drums smash a dance floor every time.

Foreign Beggars & Noisia – Shellshock (Synergy Remix)

Synergy killed this remix. A monster bass alongside that signature vocal, this was a standout on the Noisia remix LP.

The Outsiders – Spectra

Always class sound design from these two fellas. A huge tune that gets regular plays in my sets.

Vektah, PAV4N & T-Man – Echo Mode

The killer vocal talents of PAV4N and T-Man suit this new age jungle inspired track perfectly. Echo mode has been a big production influence of mine.

Trinist – Connected

A classic Trinist tune, insane sound design with huge sub killing basses. Hasn’t left my set list since I downloaded it.

Pirapus & Jono Stewart – Have It All

Big stadium drum & bass energy from the kiwi duo. The main lead and fast paced drums were a big influence in ‘Chester Avenue’.

Synergy & Tasha Baxter – Lust

A classic synergy sound. Deep, dark and naughty. Accompanied with the melancholic vocals of Tasha Baxter, it’s a weapon of a release.

Document One & Emily Makis – Tongue Tied

The lush vocals of Emily and crisp production of Document One combine to create a killer liquid tune. Can almost instantly pick out Document One on production with the jazz influences and signature bass fills.
