Danny Olson is making his triumphant return to Lost In Dreams with the second installment of his acclaimed ‘Radio Cinema’ series.

The ambitious project sees Olson breathing new life into beloved late ‘90s and 2000s classics, skillfully reimagining them through the lens of contemporary electronic music. ‘Radio Cinema Part 2’ stays true to this vision with new renditions of Brit-pop global hit “Bittersweet Symphony” by The Verve and the emo-pop ballad “Thnx For th Mmrs” from Fall Out Boy. “Time” and “Drops Of Jupiter” from the debut installment are also packaged in with the release for an immersive listening experience.

The lead offering sees Danny Olson connecting with Romanian-born, Italian-raised singer-songwriter Maryon King for a stunning new rendition of the classic megahit “Bittersweet Symphony.” King’s vocals contain an added gravity, allowing the poignant lyrics to cut through and pull at the heartstrings. Her voice soars over subtle drums, booming orchestral synth explosions, pensive piano keys, and retouched strings from the original. Epicly cinematic, deeply moving, and exceptionally uplifting, the pair capture the bittersweet beauty of life, exploring the highest of highs and painful lows with masterful tact. Beauty and pain engage an intricate dance that scores the complexity of the human experience.

“Thnx For th Mmrs” follows suit with an equally treasured offering. L8NCY’s vocal performance is alluring and breathy, exuding a sultry sweetness that’s marred with a delectably bitter edge. There’s a haunting sense of nostalgia that burns throughout creating a sense of longing. Elegant strings and stirring piano keys develop a grandiose sound palette that builds into a crescendo. The drops flirt with a heavier-hitting trap sensibility that’s backed by menacing brass stabs and thunderous low-end. Drifting between regal orchestral aesthetics, and the bass-leaning drops makes for an enthralling auditory adventure that will induce goosebumps.

Danny Olson expands on the latest installment of the series, saying, “‘Radio Cinema (Part Two)’ marks the next step in our immersive cover project journey. I’m thrilled to invite you on this nostalgic adventure, as we delve into and celebrate those timeless musical moments that have each left their mark on history. With the help of some incredibly talented artists, each song has transformed into something truly special, acting as a bridge between past memories and the present moment. I can’t wait for you to experience the full Radio Cinema EP and feel the magic for yourself.”

Rounding out the release comes Vol.1’s “Time” and “Drops Of Jupiter.” The former is a powerful ballad that centers around loss and moving on. Luma’s impassioned vocals blur the separation between beauty and pain, as it shadows an unresolved lost love. Cinematic in the truest sense, it combines contemplative piano, sweeping strings, and delicate arpeggiations. “Drops Of Jupiter” utilizes the collective strength of Danny Olson and David Frank to create an otherworldly anthem that’s imbued with nostalgia. Drifting between an emotional ballad and a melodic bass masterwork, “Drops Of Jupiter” transcends sound and touches a deep part of the soul.

A composer, producer, electronic artist, DJ, and Lost In Dreams veteran, Danny Olson has always rigorously cultivated and pursued his passions for both electronic and cinematic music, focusing his energies between dance music, trailer music, and film scoring. He’s unleashed a slew of singles on Lost In Dreams, including the standout “Melting” with yetep which has amassed 1.3M streams, which was recently revisited by way of an official remix pack including fresh takes from Highlnd, Synymata, Nikademis, Draeden, and Setter Kid, as well as a special orchestral VIP from the mastermind himself. With his star rising, Danny Olson has been commissioned for remixes from megastars such as Maroon 5, Tiësto, the Chainsmokers, SLANDER, Nurko, and more. Danny Olson will be performing at Escape Halloween festival, and will be joining SABAI and Hoang on their co-headline tour at Smoke & Mirrors (Chicago).
