With their summer schedule in full swing, platinum-selling London trio Disciples have now dropped the dynamic remix package for their latest single ‘Atheist’, with DJ S.K.T and Latmun both spinning eclectic reworks of the original.
Packed with rhythmic beats true to Disciples’ signature underground sound, DJ S.K.T – who has previously remixed tracks for the likes of Oliver Heldens and Shy FX – adds a fresh floorfilling bassline to the production, utilising the silky smooth vocals of Disciples’ very own Nathan Duvall to create a catchy hook.
Establishing himself as one of the biggest selling artists on Beatport, British producer Latmun fills his own dub mix with the ominous floor-shuddering tones that listeners have come to expect from the producer, with the track flaunting rich rumbles and cleverly constructed looped chord patterns.
Released on Pete Tong’s FFRR label, the original of ‘Atheist’ has received a wealth of support across the Radio 1 specialist, which led to the act opening the Radio 1 Biggest Weekend Rave Lounge as well as doing a takeover show for Danny Howard. The track has also received further spins from Kiss Fresh and Rinse FM.
The release of ‘Atheist’ followed the group’s track ‘48HRS’, which saw strong support across BBC Radio 1. With praise from Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Phil Taggart, the track reached the coveted #1 spot on the R1 Dance Chart as well as hitting the Top 10 of the UK Shazam Dance Chart. Not stopping there, the track received additional support from BBC Radio 1Xtra, Kiss FM & Kiss Fresh, and Beats 1.
With a huge 2018 in the pipeline for the triple-threat act, Disciples will return to Ibiza for their Together residency at Amnesia throughout the season, as well as dates at Hideout Croatia, Sundown, Belgian mega-festival Tomorrowland, SW4, and Creamfields’ Horizon mainstage this summer.
