Having recently appeased fans by completing his infamous “dubstep sandwich,” Effin made his Monstercat debut today with the bass-heavy track, “Unlucky”.
His uniquely recognizable sound design is on full display, launching into the single with warm pads, processed vocal chops, and melodic synth stabs. Holding nothing back, the aggressive brass stabs build tension and energy, quickly giving way to gritty bass stabs, guttural growls, and thumping drums.
Fans and listeners alike can look forward to hearing “Unlucky” live as Effin hits the road on Kompany’s “Untouchable Tour” as well as at the forthcoming Crush SF.
