The official video for Felix Cartal’s infectious version of the 1998 New Radicals hit, ‘Get What You Give’, has been released.
Infused with a sense of wonder, the clip follows a boy and girl as they meet and embark on a magical summer together, falling in love for the very first time.
“It’s a video about friendship and the emotions around music in your life,” explain Danish directors Jonas Risvig and Frederik Borg (Pusha T, Scarlet Pleasure), who shot it in Copenhagen. “We wanted it to look like a small, boring suburb and then transform it all into a fairytale-like place, to show that when you are in love, you’re just happy with everything and you see the good things in life.”
Streams of ‘Get What You Give’ have surpassed 10 million on Spotify and Apple Music combined, including more than 3.5 million streams in the U.S. alone. The track topped The Hype Machine Popular Now chart, was the #1 most-played track on SiriusXM Chill and placed in the top five of the Billboard + Twitter Emerging Artists chart. It appears on over 200 Spotify playlists, including the influential ‘Cardio’ The lyric video has more than one million YouTube views across multiple channels.
