Foreign Concept is, without doubt, one of the most exciting new talents to emerge from the drum & bass scene in recent years.

The Bristol-based DJ is synonymous with DJ’ing distinction and a multiform production style that synthesizes the sounds of yesterday and tomorrow in chord with the modern production techniques.

It wasn’t long before his sounds began to reverberate around the scene and the phone started to ring. Critical label boss Kasra instantly recognized his talent and championed his sound from the off. Others then followed; Andy C, Friction, Hype, Marky, S.P.Y. and many more.

The critically acclaimed ‘Mob Justice’ released on Critical towards the end of the year sealed the deal as Kasra snapped him up exclusively for Critical Music. The eclectic producer has consistently experimented in his music with a devout focus on the quality of his repertoire. After a series of ground-breaking releases on Critical Music, Foreign Concept has returned to Critical Music with 4 heavyweight productions which include a collaboration with Monty and a remix of ‘Waiheke Wine Club’ from the newly formed duo of Kasra and Insideinfo.

‘Kilmersdon’ brings up a unique side of Foreign Concept’s productions while ‘Black Tea’ signifies the producers’ penchant for delivering hybrid rollers. Title track ‘Gozen’ is a signature 2011 Foreign Concept tune. A deep and dark roller which includes sultry vocals. ‘Ron Millonario’ is a sublime concoction of old school and new school drum & bass flavors.
