Following his Beatport no.1 Start The Party earlier this year, George Smeddles returns to close 2019 on a skyrocketing high that he’s maintained over the past few months with his new The Bass EP.

Marking his debut on Sonny Fodera’s Solotoko imprint, The Bass is poised to thrive on this season’s club circuit.

George Smeddles has been rapidly turning heads on the scene as of late, with his signature productions leading to releases on revered labels including Relief, Do Not Sleep, VIVa, NoExcuse and more recently Under No Illusion and Sola.

Whilst pushing his sleek cuts, George Smeddles also heads Resonance Records alongside co-owner and producer Max Chapman, flourishing into a respected imprint with releases from established producers and up and coming talent. Meanwhile, his equally captivating presence in the booth has seen him play sets at the likes of Fabric, Sankeys Ibiza, Ministry of Sound, Egg London, Amnesia and Mint Warehouse among plenty of others.

Having tested his latest effort on his recent Australia tour plus his mind-blowing show at Oval Space in London, the new EP is destined to attract global appeal. Featuring a hypnotic vocal, paired with subtle acidic pads centred round a grooving bassline, “The Bass” is a certified peak time roller. Uplifting B side “Tell Me” takes on a dazzling diva vocal that soars over jacking percussion cementing The Bass EP as an irresistible groover, rounding off George Smeddle’s year on a monumental high.

George Smeddles – The Bass EP is out now via Solotoko.
