After making their Monstercat debut last year, Miami-born duo Good Times Ahead are back with another massive single, “So Good”.
The new heater has the makings of a club and festival anthem, right from the start with a deep, pulsating bass that immediately sets the tone for the rest of the track. The gritty synth stabs and glitchy synth slides are the defining features of the drop as they add a blog house feel to the track. Good Times Ahead are not ones to shy away from producing genre-blending tracks and “So Good” is a testament to their decade-long careers as versatile producers.
Good Times Ahead shares, “We grew up being heavily influenced by the Blog House / Electro House days and wanted to try and bring some of that feeling back. We also wanted to start incorporating a lot more trippy & experimental sounds to have certain weird moments in our sets and we’re so happy with the balance of groove and energy in this one! We’ve had such great feedback from our peers. We can’t wait until the clubs open back up to play this one live!””
Good Times Ahead have made a name for themselves as multi-faceted artists, boasting collaborations with the likes of Diplo, Flosstradamus, and Vince Staples, as well as remixes for Rihanna and J Balvin to name a few. Prior to lockdown, Good Times Ahead announced launching their own label, Good Times Bad Times, and have since released tunes from ETC! ETC!, Chuwe, FIGHT CLVB, and more. Fans have the opportunity to witness the duo perform live at Insomniac’s Park ‘N Rave series, taking place tomorrow night at the NOS Events Center.
