Gudrun von Laxenburg has joined forces with The Crispies singer Tino Romana to create the grim track – Pin Drop, a complete meltdown of the boundaries between Trap and Rave.

Fuelled by impelling drums and the analog synthesizers which the Viennese trio is renowned for, the vocals are clad in auto-tune. With harsh metaphors, the lyrics paint a dreadful picture of a destructive relationship, in which both sides did greater harm than good. The dark thoughts that are pinned down in the lyrics do absolutely no harm to the danceability. Instead, they even add to its ecstatic madness, a product merging GvL and Tino Romana’s talents.

Gudrun von Laxenburg alias July Skone (drums), Daniel Helmer (synthesizer, sampler) and Christoph Mateka (bass- & lead-synthesizer) have been performing together on stage and in the studio since 2009. Last year the group gave birth to their album “Panic!“ (SKINT Records) that contained many vocal features (u.a. Pressyes und Eloui).

After this years’ release of the track “Brawler (feat. Carlos Hufschlag from the band WOMAN) “Pin Drop“ follows the excellent tradition of the previous work of the busy Rave trio. With drums recorded by Alex „Fire“ Tomann (@Audio Manufaktur) and handled by Sam Irl (mixing & mastering @IML Headquarters) and Daniel Meuzard (tape operator, mastering) the band produced the track on their own. Aside from his vocal performance, Tino Romana also contributed the lyrics to “Pin Drop”.
