Oasis fans, you might want to send Anais Gallagher a thank-you card.
Because apparently, she’s the real reason Noel and Liam Gallagher are finally back together. Yep, Anais Gallagher is the one who quietly masterminded the long-awaited Oasis reunion, and no one saw it coming.
The 25-year-old model, daughter of Noel Gallagher and his ex-wife Meg Matthews, reportedly stepped in after her dad’s split from his second wife, Sara MacDonald. According to The Sun, Anais became Noel’s biggest support during the divorce and could sense how much he needed his brothers around, especially Liam and Paul. The timing just felt right, and Anais wasn’t about to let the opportunity slip.
Even though Noel had tried to mend things with Liam in the past, nothing ever stuck. But this time was different. Anais knew the history between them ran deep, but she also knew how much family mattered, especially now. And that’s when she got strategic.
She reached out to Liam’s sons, Gene and Lennon, whom she’s always had a good relationship with, and asked if they thought Liam would be open to hearing her out. They said yes. So she went for it. She asked Liam directly if he’d be willing to reach out to Noel, not to talk band business but just to be there for his brother.
And that’s exactly what Liam did.
Liam, who’s been pretty vocal about wanting an Oasis comeback for years, made the move. He called Noel. And after that, things started falling into place, finally.
Back in 2009, Oasis imploded spectacularly when Noel quit the band following a brutal backstage fight with Liam at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. At the time, Noel released a statement saying, “People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.” That was the mic drop that ended an era.
But now? The feuding brothers have shocked everyone by announcing that Oasis is officially back. They dropped the surprise news on X last year with the kind of drama only the Gallaghers can serve: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
And now, they’re gearing up for their first world tour in 15 years. Oasis is set to kick things off in June, starting in Cardiff, Wales, and fans are already losing it over the chance to see them live again. What started as a long shot, a dream even diehard fans had given up on, has somehow become real, and it’s all thanks to Anais Gallagher quietly doing the emotional heavy lifting behind the scenes.
Honestly, it’s wild to think that the most legendary British band reunion of the decade happened because a daughter saw her dad hurting and decided to do something about it. She didn’t just sit back and hope for the best, she took action, reached across generational lines, and helped repair a relationship that had been broken for years.
So, while the spotlight’s going to be on Noel and Liam when they step on stage, don’t forget who really set the wheels in motion. Anais Gallagher might not be in the band, but she’s the one who made this tour happen. And fans are forever grateful.
