Premiered as Hottest Record on Clara Amfo’s Future Sounds show on BBC Radio 1, D&B titans Hybrid Minds tease forthcoming Tides: Part 1 EP with indie legend Birdy on ethereal fuelled single ‘State Lines’ via their Hybrid Music label.
Fresh off BBC Radio 1 backed single Better Now ft. Lily Denning, Hybrid Minds anticipate their live debut of State Lines at Reading Festival alongside Birdy.
Following packed-out live performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Glastonbury, Hideout, and El Dorado the duo now prepare for their huge headline Wembley Arena TIDES show in October that sold out in 48 hours, continuing to blow expectations out of the water with boundary-breaking slices of heaven.
Known for earth-shattering D&B staples, Hybrid Minds boast a prime-time weekly show on Kiss FM, chart-topping collaborations with the likes of GRAMMY-nominated Above & Beyond, D&B staple Pendulum, and indie star Holly Humberstone, plus additions to the FIFA22 soundtrack.
Inspired by the full, euphoric sound of Bon Iver and Ben Howard, the duo weave their passion for alternative music into atmospheric electronic records that have seen extensive support from BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM, Kiss Dance, Kiss Fresh, Capital Dance, and 1Xtra.
Dubbed “one of the biggest acts in DNB” by MTV and “leaders in their scene” by Zane Lowe, Hybrid Minds sold out shows at London venue Printworks in 4 hours last year and their headline Brixton Academy show six months out from the dates. The duo have released hits such as Hospital Records collaboration with Netsky, Let Me Hold You, which currently sits at over 21M Spotify streams. Now uniting with superstar Birdy, State Lines marks the duo’s biggest collaboration yet.
Known for achingly beautiful vocals and soul-probing lyricism, Birdy has firmly established herself in the public eye with hits such as Bon Iver cover Skinny Love, which has amassed over 672M Spotify streams, Quietly Yours, which landed Netflix sync on the official soundtrack for the tv show Persuasion, and Beautiful Lies, which landed a top 5 in the UK Official Chart.
Since signing a publishing contract with Warner/Chappell at the age of 14, the singer-songwriter has released a no.1 album and contributed to the soundtracks of box office hits such as The Hunger Games, The Fault in Our Stars, and Pixar’s Brave. Birdy possesses a musical versatility that has already seen her dip her toe into crossover electronic waters with massive D&B act Sigma and previous remixes from Hybrid Minds on her single Deep End, which amassed over 104M streams.
