Following the release of “Through Your Love” last month, burgeoning house prodigy KDYN returned to Monstercat today with his dreamy new single, “Closer.”
Inspired by prominent tastemakers in the UK garage scene, KDYN looks to blur the lines between genres, drawing inspiration from pop, house, and garage. The bright vocal chops and warm chord stabs blend perfectly with the deep bassline and crisp percussion, showcasing his undeniable talents at just 16 years old.
With radio support from BBC Introducing Kent and Kiss FM, as well as releases on Insomniac, Crucast, and Monstercat, KDYN is at the forefront of the next generation of UK garage music.
KDYN shares, “This track was super fun to make! I really wanted to capture something special with it, something that felt nostalgic yet new and exciting at the same time. There were a lot of tweaks and refining that went into it after I initially created the intro and drop, I wanted to see where I could experiment more with the second half of the track, finding the best places to work percussions into it and finding alternative ways to process the vocals. As a whole, I had a great time making it and the awesome feedback Monstercat gave me helped make my vision come true, I hope you like it!”
