San Diego-based Knock2 is back on NIGHTMODE with the Deluxe edition of his recent sophomore EP ‘ROOM202.’

The expanded version sees two exceptional remixes added to the original 6-track offering. Veteran producers Wolfgang Gartner and Mord Fustang deliver powerful reimaginings of “REWiND” and “Are You Feeling Me,” respectively. The reworks embody an incredible full circle moment for Knock2, as he wrote the original EP heavily inspired by the electro sound that the artists helped pioneer.

‘ROOM202’ has been a runaway success for the ever-rising star, drawing press coverage from top-tier publications including EDM.com, Your EDM, EDM Identity, Run The Trap, Relentless Beats, Dancing Astronaut, This Song is Sick, and FUXWITHIT. The two lead singles “Make U SWEAT!” and “gettin’ hott” have amassed 3.1 million and 2.5 million streams, respectively. The EP’s finale “Rock Ur World” alongside fussy has also exploded on TikTok with 1.23M views and 529k combined creator reach on the platform. The viral success has garnered 3.1M streams to date for the song.

Leading the charge for the additions on the release comes Wolfgang Gartner’s remix of “REWiND.” The Los Angeles-based producer is a trailblazer in the electro scene with remixes for iconic acts like Tiësto, MSTRKRFT, Sneaky Sound System, and Britney Spears. His debut album ‘Weekend In America,’ saw top-tier collaborations alongside Cam’Ron, will.i.am, Eve, and Omarion. Gartner’s “REWiND” rework somehow manages to up the energy of the original with a pulsing club-ready sound. The bass house banger wastes little time before diving into radioactive synth leads, swinging drums, chopped-up vox, metallic clanks, and rumbling low-end. The immersive call-and-response creates an anthemic arc alongside the inventive sound design that helped put the producer on the map nearly two decades ago.

Estonian producer Mord Fustang has been a mainstay in the electronic scene for over a decade. His signature sound helped to define and establish the complextro movement in the early 2010s. Taking on “Are U Feeling Me,” Fustang carefully fuses his signature style with the addictive foundation crafted by Knock2. DEV’s vocals still serve as a centerpiece with the new sonic direction, amplifying its intrinsic pop sensibilities without losing the sultry allure. The sampled and re-echoed vox creates a hypnotizing hook that will be running through your head all night. Shimmering synths dance with masterful melodies, pulsing basslines, and punching percussion. The resulting rework features a futuristic and robotic aesthetic with warm hints of nostalgia intertwined.

“When I first heard the original, I really liked how energetic it is, but felt I could add some ‘Mord signature’ melodies to it. Very happy with the result!” — Mord Fustang

“‘ROOM202’ dlux is really special to me because the two remixes added came from legendary producers that inspired the sound of the original EP.” — Knock2

The ’ROOM202 (dlux)’ enhances the original release with two mind-blowing reworks from legendary producers Wolfgang Gartner and Mord Fustang. The release sees Knock2’s inspirations reimagining his body of work for a truly full-circle moment. In conjunction with the release, Knock2 recently announced phase two of his debut headline tour with stops in Miami, Salt Lake City, Montreal, Philadelphia, Orlando, Oakland, Seattle, Dallas, and El Paso. The first phase of the tour was completely sold out, and the second phase looks to follow suit with multiple dates selling out in a matter of hours.
