Grammy nominated Australian trio Mansionair share their newest track “Don’t Wait”, a perfect blend of ethereal and groove out now on Glassnote Records.

The irresistibly silky tune premiered last night on SiriusXM/Alt Nation. Comfortably occupying the sonic intersection of indie songwriting and electronic edge, “Don’t Wait” is certain to propel Mansionair forward as they continue their upward trajectory as tastemakers on the international stage.

On the meaning behind the song singer Jack Froggat shares – “‘Don’t Wait’ is a song about confronting the demise of a relationship. The subject so far has been disillusioned by their past mistakes and is coming to terms with the possibility that perhaps there’s nothing that can change the situation.

It’s a song asking for honesty, to rip the band-aid off and not stretch out an inevitable ending. It’s hopeful, but also a realistic expectation that not everything goes the way you want.

So often we cling to past versions of our lives, expecting everything to always stay the same, we hide in our flaws and blame others for our mistakes, before we realise too late that the damage is already done. ”

“Don’t Wait” follows the release of single “More” earlier this year and “Guillotine” – a collaboration with NoMBe – released at the tail end of 2020. “Guillotine” went Top 5 at Alt Nation SiriusXM and spun on triple j in Australia. Both tracks were added to an impressive array of playlists across both Apple Music and Spotify, showcasing a dynamic new side to the band.

Composed of members Jack Froggatt, Lachlan Bostock and Alexander Nicholls, Mansionair have already made a name for themselves by supporting the tours of some of the biggest alternative acts in the world, including Florence and the Machine and CHVRCHES.

In 2019, they released their debut album Shadowboxer. Written and self-produced by the band, Shadowboxer depicts the culmination of a journey that started with a viral hit single and led to high profile collaborations, including a Grammy-nomination for “Line of Sight,” their single with Odesza, and gold ARIA-accredited tracks in “Easier” and “Astronaut (Something About Your Love),” Billboard charting singles and over 250 million streams across DSPs.
