Following her continued relationship with Audioporn, the historic label spearheaded by drum & bass legend Shimon, Nvrsoft drops a brand new single ‘Like It’ with Sofia which is currently out now, The first US woman to play drum & bass hotspot Fabric, her elevation has also seen her appear in Beatport’s Top 10 within the Drum & Bass section, as well as throughout a global tour which extends into the Summer.

Based in France, she’s still making waves and working even harder to make her presence felt. A fact exemplified by her new track ‘Like It’.

She gave us a rundown of the tracks she’s been spinning in her Spotify playlists recently, which you can check out below. From Shimon himself through to Rene LaVice, it’s an eclectic list and highlights the range of influences which inspire her music making.

Shimon – Hush Hush

My favorite tune from my favorite person; my label boss, Shimon. Shim is my biggest musical inspiration and my biggest support. This tune is as much a staple in my sets as Shim is in my musical career. I’d be nowhere without his support and mentorship, and his music has shaped me immensely.

S.P.Y – Riding the Void

It’s no secret that I want to grow up to be the quality of producer and DJ that S.P.Y is.

I’ve listened to S.P.Y since the beginning of his career, and the beginning of my own musical journey, which both began 15 years ago. S.P.Y’s work constantly pushes me as an artist and DJ.

Calyx – Tempest

I would be nothing without Calyx. He spotted me as a young DJ after playing several shows together in the US, and made huge efforts to support me transitioning into production and into the international stage. I can always rely on Larry for advice, support, and inspiration. He is truly one of the kindest and greatest role models I have ever had, and I am so grateful to have his friendship. His work as a producer, vocalist, and performer is absolutely incredible, and he is one of the best people I have the privilege of knowing.

Alix Perez – BXL

Alix is a huge inspiration to me because he is constantly pushing boundaries as a producer and performer. He is so truly innovative and unique, and is a wonderful person to boot. I enjoy seeing him and performing alongside him so much.

Metrik – Fall to The Dust

Metrik is one of the nicest people I know, and one of the greatest producers and performers in the game. I have had a huge passion for dancefloor drum and bass since I began listening to it, and Tom makes some of the very best of it. I hope I can make the quality of music that he makes one day. His music is cathartic and truly out of this world.

Rene LaVice – Bill Folderson

Rene’s neuro is, in my opinion, the best in the genre. He has a timeless sound, and his work as a host of the BBC Radio 1 really pushed me to apply myself in my own career. Having his support and having him premiere so many tunes of mine on the show was a dream come true. He is so wonderful for supporting our community the way he has, and continues to do.

Breakage – Future (feat. Madi Lane) (Calibre Remix)

Calibre is my number one influence when it comes to the liquid I produce. Drum and bass would be nothing without Calibre. His production and performances are so incredibly diverse and timeless; Calibre’s music and impact will last forever.

Degs – Sleepless (feat. Pola & Bryson) (Bladerunner Version)

I really feel like Bladerunner is one of the biggest, most impressive, yet severely underrated producers and DJs in our industry. His production and performances are truly next level, and his work sets a truly high standard for us. Some of the highest quality production in the game.

Alibi – No Lights (feat. T.R.A.C. & MC Fats)

T.R.A.C. is one of my favorite peers and is my favorite MC from my homeland, the United States of America. My East Coast teammate T.R.A.C. is a wildly versatile MC and vocalist; T has so much energy and soul in his work and you hear it in every single verse he spits. He’s truly leading the way for MCs (who I don’t think get as much respect in our industry as they should) and American DnB; his voice is inspiring both in the studio and out on the dancefloor.

Nvrsoft – Premonitions (feat. Linda Kay)

I would be remiss if I didn’t include my mother, Linda K, on this list. She played the piano line for Premonitions, my title tune of my debut EP on AudioPorn, and really brought the track to life. My mother is one of the most talented musicians I know, and has been supportive of my music aspirations and career since I was a child. My mother has made sure music was in my life from the beginning and all throughout my life; I would be nowhere without her, and I’m extremely proud to have made and released work together.
