Belarus-based melodic house producer OAI and label newcomer Ra5im return to Monstercat today with a beautifully entrancing EP, ‘Echoes of Silence’.
The package features two tracks and an extended mix that draw inspiration from elements of nature and the deep meaning of one’s dreams. Working their ethereal cadence into a spellbind of atmospheric sounds and flowing melodies, the duo’s symbiotic sound designs echo throughout the EP, furthering their unstoppable momentum on the label.
OAI shares, “It all started with, “Dream Says Hello”, I got a demo from Ra5im and was very inspired by the idea. After finishing it, we sent it to Monstercat Silk – we were offered to make a second track and release everything in EP format. Fun fact: “Dream Says Hello” was originally called, “Spring Says Hello”, but realizing that the track would not be released in the spring, we decided to change the name and lyrics, and the track took on a deeper meaning.”
RA5IM adds, “When I was working on the track, “Dream Says Hello” it was a hard time, as there was self-isolation. It was spring and at that time I came to my parents and spent more time in nature, listening to different sounds and singing birds. In the track, there is a small reference to the Tatar folk song “Snowdrop”, this topic is played by a violin when my vocals begin. At this time, I met OAI and I decided to send him a demo. I am grateful to him for doing a great job.”
