Los Angeles based DJ/Producer Sj put his “Aftertouch” EP on the digital shelves and we have a few good words to write about this small treasure trove of tunes.

Sj has been stirring up massive things since the start of his bright path. His first single “Hung Up”, a collaboration with the American DJ/Producer duo “Tritonal”, turned out to be a solid start as it was streamed more than 38 million times by the community on Spotify alone. Sj later worked with Tritonal’s co-owned Enhanced Recordings imprint and later went on to release his 2018 EP “Calabasas” which shone pretty bright among DJs and listeners across all the dance floors in this world. Sj has been playing big stages along with the likes of Shaun Frank, Seven Lions, Kill the noise, etc. and has not stopped till this date.

The title track of the EP definitely sets the theme for the other two. The whole EP is genre-bending gold. The walls between the mainstream and underground have been turning thinner day by day. Many artists have started blending the originality of the underground with the appeal of the mainstream to create the best out of both worlds and this EP is the perfect testimony of this surprising musical phenomenon. Various musical elements make great appearances in this three-track EP. From the seducing arpeggios in Sj’s rendition of JMR’s “State of the Art” to satisfying piano chords in “Highwater” everything sits perfectly right with the featuring vocals making it a treasure trove for everyday listeners and DJs alike.
