Continuing to take over festival crowds with his smashing records, ascending producer Ray Volpe shares his latest dubstep record, “EAT SLEEP RAGE,” marking the second single to arrive from his upcoming EP, ‘VOLPETRON ASCENDS,’ out this year on Monstercat Uncaged.
Since his solo Monstercat debut of “HAPPY SONG” on May 26th, 2023, Ray has achieved numerous firsts in his career. The past two months have been an exhilarating journey for Ray that serves as a true testament to the extraordinary demand he is starting to generate for his music and live performances. He made his highly anticipated debut at Sunset Music Festival and had the honor of closing out a festival for the first time at his debut Rampage Open Air performance. Ray is gearing up for more festival debuts at Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza Chicago, and more. His meteoric rise is evident in the explosive numbers he amassed in just under a month of releasing “HAPPY SONG,” which garnered nearly half a million streams and playouts from industry heavyweights including Excision, Kayzo, NGHTMRE, who he is going B2B with for the first time this year at Echostage on November 22nd, Slander, Sullivan King, Kai Wachi, Riot Ten, Jessica Audiffred, ATLiens, SAYMYNAME, DIESEL, Blanke, and others. Ray’s undeniable talent, internet humour, and addictive energy have solidified him as a dominating force in the bass scene with no plans to slow down anytime soon.
“EAT SLEEP RAGE” acknowledges Ray’s metal origins with a dynamic combination of guitar-thrashing, head-banging beats incorporating ominous drops characterized by heavy basslines. The record adds to Ray’s collection of adrenaline-rushing tracks that have been taking over the electronic scene like no other.
Ray Volpe shares, “This is a very “in your face” bass anthem for those that want something to chant at the top of their lungs. Eat, sleep, rage! It’s also a subtle nod to my metal roots with the guitar spread out throughout the entirety of the song which goes hand in hand with raging, moshing, & everything in between!”
It’s no doubt that Ray has been on one of the most notable upward trajectories in the bass circuit. He’s been dominating this year’s festival season with over 20 appearances, from overcrowding the Basspod at EDC Las Vegas, to playing iconic venues like the Brooklyn Mirage, The Kia Forum in Los Angeles, and The Armory in Minneapolis. He continues to receive support from prominent figures in the electronic music industry, such as Skrillex, Marshmello, who he collaborated with this year, Excision, who’s been rinsing “EAT SLEEP RAGE” since last year, Illenium, The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake, and others. The widespread recognition has led to enthusiastic and high-energy responses from audiences beyond his own fan base. Fans can look forward to a tour announcement and the full ‘VOLPETRON ASCENDS’ EP to come.
