Last year world #1 DJ, Martin Garrix debuted new tunes during his headlining set at Ultra Miami. Those IDs were released on the Dutchman’s STMPD label under the name of ‘Area 21’.
For those who don’t know, Area 21 is Garrix’s side project with a mystery individual. The Soundcloud account image of Area 21 is 2 aliens in a spaceship, which implied the presence of a second person other than Garrix. Multiple names were linked with Area 21. But, the closest suspect was American record producer and songwriter, Maejor following this post on Instagram:
However, finally after about a year there is enough evidence that Maejor is the 2nd half of Area 21. This can be concluded after noticing that Maejor’s name was silently added to the credits on The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) for both Area 21 songs, ‘Spaceships’ & ‘Girls’.
