Alan Fitzpatrick’s record label We Are The Brave welcomes a new EP by Rudosa who has been working with the imprint since 2018.

This is his third solo EP for We Are The Brave and it’s a four-track release in the hard groove style that has been making a bit of a resurgence of late.

Hard groove has a focus on fast-paced percussion rhythms and chopped up vocals that are used as rhythmical elements and Rudosa has put a modern twist on this classic style that was popular in the early ‘00s.

Rudosa is known for his fast-paced productions and along with We Are The Brave, he has featured on numerous other influential record labels such as Terminal M, Soma and Second State. He also runs his own label called Moments In Time and is well-known for his DJ sets at events across the UK and other parts of the world.

“Back in the Day” opens the EP with its skipping percussion and thrashing hi-hats that are joined by the dystopian chords of the lead synth. “Naughty Pleasure” has hypnotic vocals that are cut by filter sweeps while the stabbing synth adds dubby vibes that provide a smooth contrast with the rough edges of the fast-paced percussion. “Fresh” is the third track and it’s got a rubbery acid-line sandwiched between busy hi-hats and a rolling bassline. “Lots” brings things to a close with a dark and stripped back groove that has a driving energy.
