Sagia’s Destinations EP Feels Like a Sunset Road Trip

If you’ve ever wanted music that feels like golden hour on the Pacific Coast Highway, Sagia’s Destinations EP is it. The London-based producer and DJ dropped the release on May 9 via Natura Viva, and it’s packed with her signature sound, spacious, bass-heavy, and emotionally rich.

From Ibiza to New York, Sagia’s been riding the global groove since her 2012 debut That’s Right, and Destinations captures everything she’s learned on the road, both literally and musically.

The lead track, Destinations, is a mood. Picture the top down, ocean breeze in your hair, sun setting behind you. Now hit play. Cool synths crash like California waves while a two-note loop drives forward like headlights on the highway. The beat is steady, building gently with each mile, and just when the sky fades to orange, the bass kicks in. Marimba-style synths shimmer like dusk on the horizon. It’s chill but not sleepy, pure Sagia magic. “I’ve got a soft spot for the nomadic feel of a US road trip,” she says, and that vibe bleeds into every second of the track.

She keeps cruising with Sunken City, inspired by the landslide-ravaged neighborhood in Coastal San Pedro, south of L.A. The place feels like a ghost town locked in a time warp, and Sagia channels that surreal calm into this track. A tight 4/4 rhythm keeps things grounded while dreamy, drifting synths float above. A delayed piano line and minimal bassline give it that stripped-back Sagia edge. You can almost see the abandoned streets and old rail lines as the sound swirls around you. “Sunken City is a magical spot,” Sagia says, “It inspired something introspective but still full of motion.”

The whole Destinations EP feels built for movement, mental, emotional, physical. Whether you’re on the freeway or just zoning out at home, these tracks take you somewhere. Maybe that’s why it’s already caught the ears of tastemakers like Kölsch, Anja Schneider, Monika Kruse, Nick Warren, and Eats Everything. Sagia isn’t just making tracks, she’s building soundtracks to the parts of your life that feel the most alive.

So if you’re dreaming of warm nights, open roads, and no destination in sight, hop in. Destinations is the ride you’ve been waiting for.
