Out now is a four-track peak time techno EP from UMEK’s record label, 1605.
‘Desiderati 4.11’ features solo music from Sam WOLFE, Kos:mo and Phoenix Movement, plus a collaborative track by Førehand and Rooney Nasr.
Sam WOLFE is the only one of the artists to have featured on 1605 before, and he has also worked with other respected imprints such as Senso Sounds, Tronic and Phobiq.
Each of the artists boasts their own previous achievements, Kos:mo having worked with Spektre’s Respect, Phoenix Movement has featured on Metodi Hristov’s Set About, Rooney Nasr has been on Spartaque’s IAMT Red, and Førehand has featured on Dharma (WMG) which is an offshoot of Spinnin’ Records.
Sam WOLFE opens the release with his track “Running From Yourself” which features tearing synth sounds and eerie vocals that add to the intensity of his driving groove.
Kos:mo’s “Voices From Above” has thundering drums and angelic vocal textures that together create a haunting atmosphere and fierce energy.
Phoenix Movement’s “With You” has a pulsating bassline and ominous stabs that fuse with a powerful vocal sample to deliver a truly captivating groove.
Førehand & Rooney Nasr are working together for the first time, and their track “Never Know” closes out the release with some tantalising euphoria underlined by a devastating groove that has deep sub-bass and a pounding kick.
