Shadient returns to NGHTMRE and SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations imprint with “Wake Up (I’m Home),” the first glimpse into his forthcoming EP.

London-based producer Shadient is no stranger to Gud Vibrations. After unveiling singles “Ego Insaniac” and “Dancing Alone Again,” he dropped his debut album ‘Have You No Burden’ with the esteemed label in 2021. As he gears up for his forthcoming follow-up EP, the artist unleashes the lead track from his upcoming body of work.

“Wake Up (I’m Home)” is a testament to Shadient’s forward-thinking style, fusing elements of bass house, trap, and dubstep for a genre-bending sonic adventure. The unassuming opening pairs a powerful melodic lead with a house-leaning groove. A brazen vocal sample snaps listeners out of their place of comfort, and transports them into a world of masterfully controlled chaos.

The catastrophic call-and-response is backed with metallic stabs, dark low-end, glitchy synths, and high-powered lasers. Infused with a cinematic flair and commanding builds, “Wake Up (I’m Home)” is assured to rouse any fans who have been sleeping on the UK talent.

Shedding light on the inspiration around his new single, Shadient shares: “Wake Up (I’m Home) is part of the HE IS HERE EP. I’ve been very inspired by abrasive art and images online. I like to look at photos of smashed glass, car crash test footage, slow motion footage of guns firing and footage of nuclear bomb tests from the cold war. I wanted to make music that really sounded the way those things looked: Visceral, violent, loud and rough around the edges. I think it’s good to have some music that sounds like a middle finger.”

Shadient is a boundary-pushing electronic producer that resides in London, England. Over the past few years, he’s become renowned for his ability to intertwine thought-provoking melodies and torrential bass. Shadient released his debut album ‘Have You No Burden’ on Gud Vibrations in 2021, and received support from a wide array of top-tier outlets including Magnetic Mag, Dancing Astronaut, EDM Identity, This Song Is Sick, Heard It Here First, EDM Tunes, Run The Trap, and DJ Life Magazine. He has enjoyed tastemaker support from G Jones, Madeon, Montell2099 and JAWNS, as well as past radio support on Diplo’s Revolution (Sirius XM), BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Asian Network.

Shadient’s new single “Wake Up (I’m Home)” is available on all platforms via Gud Vibrations.
