Dim Mak welcomes back 6X GRAMMY nominated producer shndō (producer of Justin Bieber “Peaches” and Cardi B “Never Give Up”) for his new single “Boomerang.”
This release, available October 20 is a passionate jungle house track with syncopated percussive loops, minimal breakbeats and voluptuous vocals from Hadar & Lazā.
On the track, shndō reflects; “So for this song I was working with Hadar Adora in North Hollywood in LA – I made the track right before we had the session.
I played it for her and she was like “what’s ‘this Luis??” and started mumbling the hook to Boomerang immediately, fast forward like a year and a half later, I found myself listening to the song and feeling like it was missing another swaggy verse with a different tone – so I was scrolling thru Instagram and noticed LAZA an artist I followed a while back (who I connected with thru Kid Culture) pop up on my timeline – so I checked out her music for a refresher and realized she would make a sick feature since her voice and cadence was so dope and just had so much effortless swagger to it.
I sent LAZA the song with an open verse and she sent me back what she did in like 2 days then after that I just finalized it!”
shndō’s passion for music production began at age 13 while living in the Dominican Republic. At 22, he decided to fully commit to his music, collaborating with notable producers and artists in Los Angeles, CA, including Epik Beats, Tariq Beats, Wallis Lane, and more. These collaborations honed his skills and fueled his pursuit of greatness. Influenced by artists like Avicii, Skrillex, and Major Lazer, shndō developed a unique style that led him to produce hits such as Justin Bieber’s “Peaches” and work with Cardi B, Chris Brown, and others. Now focusing on his solo project as “shndō,” he continues to make waves with his exceptional productions and dedication to musical excellence.
