Los Angeles-bred producer Skellytn has been taking the scene by storm with her cybernetic sound.

The talented producer offers up her first standalone single on Bassrush Records alongside Australian rapper Honey-B-Sweet with “Control.”

The hard-hitting single blurs the boundaries between hip-hop and bass music for an adrenaline-filled anthem.

“Control” is a commanding cut that drifts between genres without ever letting off the gas. Honey-B-Sweet brings an undeniable swagger, dropping braggadocious bars that radiate confidence and control. Her raps create a sense of unbeatable conviction that’s perfectly punched up with the boisterous backing. A hypnotic melody floats under chest-pumping percussion and rugged guitar riffs. The first drop is a murderous bout of filthy low-end, destructive laser synths, and perfectly placed vocal splices. The menacing halftime DnB section is locked and loaded while the finale keeps listeners on their toes as Skellytn injects a scorching neuro sound that’s equal parts enthralling and mesmerizing.

Explaining how the track fits into the Skellytn universe, she breaks down the narrative by saying: “The Skellytn Corporation handpicks a team of highly skilled and deadly female soldiers to undergo intense training and rigorous physical conditioning to prepare them for the ultimate battle for “Control” of the galaxy.”

Skellytn has been making major waves in the scene with her standout sound. The L.A.-based artist is the first female producer to ever release a drum & bass album in North America with her ‘Neurocomputer’ LP on Reid Speed’s Play Me Records. Continuing her trendsetting status, she is also the first female to release on the neuro staple label Eatbrain. She’s fresh off a 25-stop tour alongside bass heavyweight Boogie T, and has a packed festival season ahead with appearances at Forbidden Kingdom, Bass Canyon, Lost Lands, and Nocturnal Wonderland. She originally debuted on the label last year with her armor-piercing drum & bass weapon “Empty the Clip,” featuring Richie Loop, which was featured on the ‘The Prophecy: Volume 6’ compilation.

“Control” is a fierce bass weapon that’s set to ignite everything it comes into contact with.

Skellytn’s new single “Control” (feat. Honey-B-Sweet) is available on all platforms via Bassrush Records.
