Following his old-school-influenced banger “Smile (feat. Lalo),” dubstep heavyweight Spag Heddy returned to Monstercat today with rising producer Viperactive for their high-intensity dubstep single, “Invane.”
Inspired by the sounds of Ravva (formerly Ravachol), Spag Heddy fused the track’s melody with a cinematic edge while mixing in fierce bass punches and his signature warping growls. Viperactive caught Spag’s attention after winning one of his remix contests and was invited to bring the song to the next level. He delivered, putting a melodic spin on the drops and bringing Spag’s vision for an epic battle song to life.
Spag Heddy shares, “‘Invane’ is the musical child of Viperactive and myself, and is a saucy mix of melodic and heavy dubstep.”
Viperactive adds, “’Invane’ for me is about always pushing yourself to do as good of a job as you can, no matter what you’ve chosen to do.
