With a starting of a new year comes a new star ready to shine. Juicebox welcomes Tantum, better known to his friends & family as Thomas Koch from Karlsruhe (Germany), to the Juicebox family with his debut EP – ‘Ashen’.
Having honed his skills for nearly half a decade, his passion for electronic music stems from his love of soulful melodies through analog synths and driving grooves inspired by modern progressive & techno. Tantum’s first official signing came through his collaborative track “Chrono” with Thales Boutromlis, on Einmusika’s brother imprint – “EIN2”, an impressive achievement to start with.
For his “Ashen” EP with Juicebox Music, he presents “Ashen”, “Microtonal” & “Sekundenschlaf”, 3 carefully crafted tracks with utmost precision, attention to detail and dance floor sensibility, without losing focus on the core musical content. Absolutely stunning work from this young new breed.
The label also called back one of their favorites, and the creator to one of their highest selling tracks “Endless Time”, Belarus’ very own – Michael A, who picked up & remixed “Microtonal”, turning it into another beautiful journey in his revered style. Switching the mood up while still paying homage to the original in a way only he knows how to.
