Future house pioneer Tchami has unveiled Year Zero Remixes, an extensive remix package made up of tracks from his acclaimed debut album Year Zero.

An extensive, 19-track release, ‘Year Zero’ Remixes features reworks from some of the biggest names in dance music. Included is Justin Martin’s deep, bass-heavy edit of ‘Shine On’, a track that was recently released as a single.

It sees the Dirtybird co-founder trade in the blissed-out energy of the original for an expertly refined club track underpinned by impassioned vocals from the legendary Chuck ‘The Voice’ Roberts and George Banton. Further singles come in the form of The Brothers Macklovitch’s bumping remix of Tchami and Todd Edwards’ collaborative track ‘Damaged Hearts’.

The sibling duo, consisting of A-Trak and Dave 1, juxtapose the glistening melodies of the original with some raw, infectious dancefloor energy. The third single from the package is Malaa’s take on Tchami and Gunna’s ‘Praise’, with the French DJ and producer delivering a rollicking, club-ready remix that loses none of the groove that characterises the original.

A further highlight comes in the form of Grammy-nominated, chart-topping Swedish duo Galantis and the enigmatic Bali Bandits’ collaborative remix of ‘Buenos Aires’. Building on the filter house vibes of the original, their pitched-up, energetic take is underpinned by the slickest of drops.

Elsewhere, bassline don DJ Q delivers a typically pumping remix of ‘Ain’t That Kind Of Friend’, NYC producer Mindchatter crafts an introspective, experimental rework of ‘Heartless’ and Dutch aficionado Kage litters ‘Toxic Love’ with dirty bass drops.

Other contributions across the sprawling remix collection include Bleu Clair, Angelz, KIYA, Damaged Goods, JC Ordonez, Movenchy, Jace Mek, Tom Budin, Barilan, VOWED, Marten Hørger and Hotel Garuda.

“Piecing the Year Zero remix album together was a lot of fun and I’m glad to have all artists that I envisioned on it,” Tchami explains. “If you think about it, I’ve listened to the original tracks for more than two years and I was really curious as to what some of my favourite producers could make of it. As you can imagine, there are very different vibes in this remix album and I hope you’ll be able to hear the album with a different ear and of course, an open mind.”

Released last year, Year Zero exceeded all expectations. In the first week of release, the album garnered over 6 million streams and featured on some of Spotify’s most coveted playlists, including MINT, Dance Rising and Cratediggers. It also peaked at #1 on the iTunes Dance chart in France and #3 in the US and Canada, alongside praise from PAPER Magazine, Complex, Billboard Dance, DJ Mag, and many more.

With the US open for business, Tchami recently embarked on his ‘Summer Bliss Tour’, a 15-date, state-spanning excursion that included a set at SoCal’s Day Trip, the first major festival of its kind since early 2020.
