Following a year of massive achievements as individual artists in their own right and a World First premiere from Zane Lowe on Apple Music, bass music legends Turno and Skepsis team up with NME 100 rising artist Charlotte Plank for crossover anthem, ‘Rave Out’, via Virgin EMI.

Developed over the course of a week at a writing camp where the trio formed, ‘Rave Out’ was the first track to come to life from the workshop. Inspired by the process of having the songwriter in the room throughout the production process paired with the hype between the three artists, Turno, Skepsis and Charlotte Plank sought to pay homage to the spirit of rave culture, the cultural integrity and ethics of the rave experience:

“Rave Out was actually the first track we made out of the writing camp!” explains Turno.“We knew we had created something special but never thought it would reach these heights this quickly! It all went mental after we played it live at Warehouse Project at the end of January this year!”

International DJ and producer Turno now steps in an exciting new crossover direction for ‘Rave Out’. Already an established D&B artist, Turno has built a reputation for tracks on the likes of Drum & Bass Arena, Elevate, Crucast, Souped Up Records, RAM and more whilst collaborating with the likes of Flowdan, Zero, Inja, AMC, Sota, Kanine, Harry Shotta and countless others. His massive frontrunning sound has also led to huge performances across Printworks and The Warehouse Project whilst headlining the Original Culture Festival in his Bedford hometown and recently returning from his New Zealand and Australia tour. Solidifying his place as one of the genre’s most respected figures, the 5x Drum&BassArena Award nominated artist has racked up millions of streams to his name, Beatport Chart toppers and BBC Radio 1 backing, including a remix of Armani Blanco’s smash hit Billie Eilish for Charlie Tee that resulted in a huge response and live performance at Printworks with the rapper.

Meanwhile, fresh off a North America, New Zealand and Australia tour, one of the underground’s finest Skepsis marks an exciting addition to Rave Out. Ever since his breakout single Goes Like took off and collected over 6M Spotify streams and BBC Radio 1 support, Skepsis has landed major sets at the likes of Amnesia, Ministry of Sound, Warehouse Project, Coachella, Glastonbury, Creamfields, Hideout, Parklife, Printworks, XOYO and more. From making a name for himself curating bassline bangers to evolving in the D&B world with Know What It Means last year that saw over 1M streams, Skepsis only continues to cement himself as versatile and internationally in demand talent on the scene.

Completing the ‘Rave Out’ trio, British-Australian singer-songwriter Charlotte Plank has catapulted onto the scene over the past year with a delicious blend of indie, pop, garage and D&B sounds dubbed by BBC Radio 1 as ‘Best New Pop’ whilst earning a spot in the NME 100 list this year as a one to watch. Since being mentored by industry legend Naughty Boy, the 21 year old already boasts an O2 Academy Brixton performance with Rudimental, a live performance on Jack Saunder’s Future Artists show, and is a key member of Loud LDN collective, a female and non-binary led collective home to names like Piri, Willow Kayne, and Venbee.

Inspired by the an eclectic array of artists from Amy Winehouse and Nirvana to The Prodigy and Four Tet, Charlotte Plank’s releases have already amassed considerable attention from her third single L.S.D receiving a launch on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music show to track Lost Boys landing support from Clara Amfo and Jack Saunders on BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing’s ‘Record Of The Week’ and a mix on Charlie Tee’s BBC Radio 1 show. Elsewhere her impressive stage presence will see appearances across SplendourFest, Great Escape, Dot 2 Dot and more to be announced this summer.

Now bringing their diverse array of skill for the ultimate, triple threat collab, Turno, Skepsis and Charlotte Plank deliver destined summer anthem ‘Rave Out’. Combining Turno and Skepsis’ production mastery with prolific drops and Charlotte Plank’s bewitching vocals, the trio perfectly capture the essence of rave culture with a modern twist. Featuring pacy percussion, exhilarating breakdowns, and luscious melodies amongst Charlotte’s infectious lyrics, “where you gonna go with the raves out?”, “who you gonna call with the raves out?” Rave Out marks a scene staple anthem with crossover appeal ready for festival season.

Turno x Skepsis x Charlotte Plank – ‘Rave Out’ is out now via EMI.
