L.A-based producer Wenzday returns to Insomniac’s offshoot IN / ROTATION imprint for her third appearance, taking the shape of her new tech house single “Fever Dream”.
Recruiting the help of L.A-based singer/songwriter Annaca, the track fuses her enrapturing vocals with disco-flecked synth leads, moody pads, rubbery basslines and a low-slung drive.
“Fever Dream” embodies Wenzday’s signature style of Heartbreak House, blending infectious house beats with empathetic themes of love and loss. Detailing the thematic depth of the track, Wenzday says, “At its core, ‘Fever Dream’ is about being delusional in love. This song explores the feeling of holding onto unrealistic and false beliefs about a current romantic relationship or the person you love from afar.”
Wenzday has been earning her stripes in the house scene, utilizing her classically trained ear to create weighty, club-ready grooves. She has released two EPs on the label, with her most recent ‘Heartbreakers Club,’ drawing press support from Forbes, Soundrive, EDM Identity, Glasse Factory, IHouseU, and more. She has an upcoming headline show at Ora (Seattle), Elektricity (Detroit), Summer Bliss Festival,
Pourhouse, and Breakaway Festival.
With her latest release, “Fever Dream,” Wenzday cements her definitive sound as a dynamic house producer, setting passionate lyrics against classic tech house rhythms infused with nostalgic disco elements. Wenzday’s new single “Fever Dream” is available on all platforms via IN/ROTATION Records.
