Mad Decent recording artists Yellow Claw have followed up their hit song, ‘Good Day,’ which featured DJ Snake and Elliphant by releasing the second single off their new album, Los Amsterdam.
Titled ‘Stacks,’ the track features American star Quavo, British sensation Tinie Tempah and newcomer Cesquax.
A trap-oriented track with a booming bass and several diverse, almost violent sounding breakdowns thanks to some heavy-duty synths, ‘Stacks’ is an absolute banger that will get Trap enthusiasts everywhere bouncing on their feet and is sure to be lighting up dance floors everywhere as it spreads.
Speaking about the track, Yellow Claws’ Nizzle had this to say:
“You’ve got arguably the hottest rapper in the U.S. Quavo and the biggest rapper in the UK Tinie Tempa. It’s everything we hoped it would be.”
Los Amsterdam, which is due out March 31 on Mad Decent, showcases the wide range of influences Yellow Claw have picked up on their journey from Amsterdam to Los Angeles, symbolized in the name.
Comprised of Jim Aasgier and Nizzle, Yellow Claw are serving up Los Amsterdam as the follow-up to their debut EP, Blood for Mercy. The new album features 13 tracks, with collaborations with several special guest performers.
The album’s opening track is titled “Home” and features Sophie Simmons, daughter of KISS’ frontman Gene Simmons. There are also several rap-fueled tracks such as “City On Lockdown” featuring Juicy J & Lil Debbie and “Stacks.”
Other tracks to look out for are “Friends In the Dark” with Dutch soul singer Otis Parker; “Hold On To Me” with fellow dance floor mavens GTA; plus two songs featuring two fiery female vocalists, “Rose Horizon” featuring STORi and “Light Years” featuring Rochelle.
