Arby’s, the fast food chain that is unapologetically known for having “the meats,” is elevating its protein to a new level with the nationwide rollout of its latest innovation – steak nuggets.
The company defines this innovation as a “first-of-its-kind product,” combining the full flavor of steak and the convenience of nugges in bite-sized bites.
As per the company’s release, the new Arby’s Steak Nuggets are made to offer a high-quality, on-the-go meal experience without compromising flavor or quality. The chain describes them as “tender, juicy, hand-cut bite-sized pieces of steak seasoned with garlic and pepper for a bold, smoky flavor.
Arby’s Chief Marketing Officer Jeff Baker announced in a press statement that the new product was conceived from a humble idea – make steak more accessible to eat anywhere. “Who doesn’t enjoy tender and savory steak?” Baker explained. “But up until now, it’s been inconvenient to eat, especially on the move. That’s why we developed this new pioneering product.”
He went on, “Two of America’s favorite foods – steak and nuggets – came together to form Arby’s Steak Nuggets. No knife required, fork optional.”
The new offering isn’t convenient for convenience’s sake – it’s convenient for variety. Arby’s is introducing three different menu options centered around steak nuggets to appeal to different appetites and tastes.
First up is the Steak Nuggets Entrée, available in both 5-count and 9-count servings, complete with a side of Hickory BBQ sauce for dipping.
Next, there’s the Steak Nugget Sandwich, which layers steak nuggets with creamy Havarti cheese, crispy onions, tangy pickles, and mayo on a toasted bun – a hearty take on the traditional sandwich.
Last but not least, for those who enjoy comfort food, there’s the Steak Nugget Bowl, a decadent offering with the steak nuggets served over Arby’s smooth white cheddar mac ‘n cheese, topped with a crunchy sprinkle of crispy onions.
Arby’s initially piloted the steak nuggets in some markets earlier this year and consumers swiftly posted their responses online. Initial critics were uniformly positive, complimenting the texture and flavor combination as a filling substitute for chicken nuggets and an interesting option in fast food.
Beginning Oct. 6, Arby’s Steak Nuggets will become a menu item across the country – but just for a limited time. Enthusiasts can get the new items at participating Arby’s restaurants throughout the nation while supplies are available.
The launch is part of Arby’s continued innovation in the quick-service space, introducing new flavors and formats that transform classic fast-food experience. Arby’s has over the years established itself as a brand known for boundary-pushing menu offerings such as the Wagyu Steakhouse Burger and Bourbon BBQ Sandwiches, and the Steak Nuggets are the latest foray in this direction.
Customers who wish to sample the new offerings can visit their local Arby’s branch or check availability through the restaurant’s official store locator. The company did not give a clue as to when the limited promotion ends, so supporters of the brand are advised to move quickly before the nuggets are removed from the menu.
With their hand-cut roughness, in-your-face seasoning, and bite-sized portability, Arby’s Steak Nuggets represent a bold fusion of old-school American steakhouse flavors with fast-food usability – again demonstrating Arby’s willingness to reimagine what “the meats” can be.
