Following the newest trend on the block with drive-in concerts, deadmau5 hopped on and will be hosting his own “safe and socially distanced” drive-in concert in Toronto on August 14, 2020.
Announcing the concert in a social media post, the mau5trap label head said, “hey Toronto, the boss has been chatting with the city mayor… and we’re happy to let you know we’ve got a small drive-in show booked in for Friday, August 14th!”
He went on to say that while the main aim was for everyone to get together and have some fun, their team was working tirelessly to make sure the event is safe and socially distanced. All further health and safety measures are specified here. The event will see Manzone & Strong as a supporting act.

hey Toronto, the boss has been chatting with the city mayor… and we’re happy to let you know we’ve got a small drive-in show booked in for Friday, August 14th! yes, this is about having some fun, but please rest assured the team have been working hard to ensure this is a safe and socially distanced event. tickets will go on-sale this coming Monday August 3rd, and for more info on all the health and safety measures please visit: cityviewdrivein.com. excited 😛 [ticket link in stories]
While a bunch of recent drive-in shows across the United States has come under fire for not adhering strictly with the health and safety protocols, one particular such event in the recent past was a fundraiser event in The Hamptons headlined by The Chainsmokers. Videos from the event showed attendees leaving their designated spots to congregate in front of the stage adhering to no kind of social distancing, not wearing masks, etc.
Tickets for the event went on sale earlier today and are available here.
